Why Learn? A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®. It is not only in public settings that STOP THE BLEED® can save a life. Do you know someone who is on blood thinners? Your Father, Mother or even your grandparents. Blood thinners are given to a person who may have had a stroke or a heart attack. If they fall or cut themselves they will not stop bleeding like you and I. They need someone to STOP THE BLEED® for them. Let that person be YOU! Through our STOP THE BLEED® course, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively.
